T-Tapp Retreat

This long anticipated retreat, full of health and fitness, sweat and laughter, friendship and sharing, guided relaxation and massage treatments, has become naturally named in my mind as "harmonic convergence". Here are some snapshots as well as some shared thoughts from those in attendance. Entries from guests are in wine italics.

Here we are!

" I just returned from a 3 day retreat with Lani at a fabulous location (in Rye, NY) and I have not posted before and thought it was time to jump in! I am excited at all of the tools and tips that I got from the instruction and I am glad to have many new T-Tapp friends! What a blast!!! (fanny-blast, that is!)" ~Kate~

Breakfast was held at Wainwright House: fueling for the morning workout against the backdrop of the garden. The sunporch always filled up first. Fran, Gisela, and Shireen find a table inside.
 

"I just wanted to thank you again for a fabulous retreat.  I am so glad that I got to meet you in person and get to know you a little bit. Although I was exhausted yesterday, I really felt good.  I have finally found my stomach muscles again and I just feel so rejuvenated.  Thank you for all of the nice gifts and all the activities you planned for us.  I am a new woman and I owe it to you.  My hubbie said last night that I looked so refreshed and relaxed.  He even noticed that my body had really tightened over the weekend. My pants are falling off of me today, and I am thrilled.  So, with all of that, I just send you a big hug and kiss and hope that we can meet again very soon. Love always," ~Gisela~

"I also had a great time. Came back home refreshed and excited. Learned a whole lot and really enjoyed meeting everyone. Hope we can do it again!" ~Laura~
 
 
"Lani's instruction to avoid all negative body self-talk for the weekend was a great, because I had to actually stop myself from criticizing my figure. As the words were coming out of my mouth, I was having to swollow them right back. Didn't want Lani to catch me bad mouthing myself! She might punish me with extra "fanny blasters". It made a difference. After a few hours, I forgot all about my defects and concentrated on my strength and assets. It was refreshing to have everyone talk positively - or at least not bash - their bodies. During the classes, I actually took my t-shirt off and exercised with my sports bra because of the heat. Nobody has ever seen me do that!I'm going to try being positive about my body for the rest of my life. It may take the rest of my life to change the bad habit, but it's worth the effort." ~Laura~

"Lani, The workshop in New York gave me the jump start I needed to get interested in exercise again. You were a big influence! everyone else seemed to know so much! ... I do have plans to exercise and I think I've downloaded everything I could from both the websites. I am bringing the 15 key points of naturally thin to help keep on track foodwise.Until our backyards meet again! Thank you," ~Darlene

Hope and Suzanne ..is it cosmic or coincidence that they discovered they were roommates?  "I cannot say enough about the clinic in NY. Just being able to observe Lani's form in itself was worth the trip... it was so easy to follow her form! Margie Weiss was also there and was an incredible help too. If Lani wasn't tapping on my back (to flatten it) or right beside me during the oil wells to really show me how to do the shoulder roll, Margie was there offering advice where to put my size 10 feet! LOL So, between the two of them helping all of us, I really received a tremendous amount of instruction. I actually found out I my form was pretty good overall and got lots of help where I needed it. The entire group of women at the clinic was wonderful and even "down" time was a lot of fun. Saturday morning I woke up with a very sore “backyard"  (as Lani calls it ) and inner thighs. I dreaded the Saturday morning workout thinking I'd never make it through...My poor backyard had never been through four hours of T-Tapping with Lani in one day!!!! , but I did and then Lani did such a wonderful stretch session that it worked all that lactic acid out and I felt wonderful.I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the retreat The ladies at the retreat were just awesome. What a wonderful cross section of Tappers and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting and talking to everyone. I missed Jeanne's magnetic sleep system demo and would love to know what I missed." ~Suzanne~

Dear Lani,
Trying to get organized in order to leave on my sailing trip, but I couldn't leave without thanking you for the most wonderful retreat.  I loved every minute of it. The workouts were great and your way of teaching is so ... extraordinary.  I really feel that I improved a lot over the course of the five sessions. The the lectures were excellent . It was so terrific to have Margie there. The massage was awesome.  All the women were so lovely and it was a lot of fun getting to know all of them. Can I think of any more adjectives?  I look forward to forthcoming retreats.  Love, Lois

Lani, thank you again for putting together an awesome retreat with a full agenda and still lots of downtime so we could veg (and soothe our sore muscles ) or spend time talking to each other about our lives and T-Tapping. My only regret is not having a massage by Margie. I told her that I’ll be the first one to sign up when we’re both at the same clinic. Everyone, and I mean everyone, who experienced Margie’s massage just raved about it. Not only does Margie bring her massage experience to a clinic, but she also brings a lot of personal experience to share with her inspiring success story and she’s a joy to be around. Lani...again, thank you ...for making the retreat so easy to learn better form...I could not have hoped for a more down to earth, easy going lady for my real introduction to T-Tapp form.  I took so much away from our retreat that will enhance me personally forever. ~Suzanne~

The Wainright property is beautiful and I could easily find time and space for myself too. I was amazed at how I could get up early and do so much good stuff each day.
