Look, I don’t have to tell you that there is no way you can white-knuckle your way to a healthy weight. It rubs against the grain of your survival instinct. Avoiding the hunger trap is the first big leap I took toward ending this fat-and-hungry-at-the-same-time madness. You may know it too, but are you practicing it? Really? The media, magazines, books and diet gurus would have you believe that hunger is the enemy. They present multiple strategies and tricks for us to use to suppress it, deny it, and otherwise overcome it. But I believe by making friends with our hunger it works on our behalf. I told you, I think differently, and it has made all the difference.
